Read a poem sent to the Foundation by a high school student in Liberia.
AIDS, OH AIDS!
AIDS, oh AIDS! How fearful you are!
You are fearful like a nightmare;
You are deadly and ugly!
AIDS where do you come from, and
Where is your designation?
No one knows your origin.
Scientists have tried the best they can,
But you are very stubborn!
You take our friends and loved ones,
And leave the marks of sorrow on our faces.
AIDS! WHO ARE YOU?
Executive Director’s Note: This poem was written and sent to Help Liberia Foundation by Janice Bropleh, a student of the St. Teresa Convent Catholic School in Monrovia, Liberia. Janice is 15 years old.
