Help Liberia Foundation Donates Educational Materials to School Children in Liberia

Posted by Help Liberia Foundation on March 29, 2005

Help Liberia Foundation is carrying out the distribution of educational materials for hundreds of school children in Liberia in a bid to encourage them to continue going to school. Besides the children, some schools receive instructional materials.

The distribution package for the children include copybooks, pencils, pens, erasers and sharpeners. In addition, some schools receive boxes of chalk, staple machines, desk sharpeners, etc. The distribution exercise is part of the Foundation’s educational programs and will continue.

The distribution project, which costs thousands of Liberian dollars, is aimed at reducing the economic hardships faced by the many unemployed parents, assisting the schools with their budgets, as well as encouraging the children to continue going to school.

Mr. Henry Kulee, the National Coordinator of the organization in Liberia, is spearheading the distribution exercise. A total of six primary and junior high schools have benefited from the distribution exercise so far. And it is to continue outside of Monrovia.

We thank all of our sponsors and donors for their efforts in the process. We also thank those who are supporting our efforts morally. Above all else, we are grateful to God for the opportunity and blessing we have to be able to do what we are doing.

We appeal to other individuals and institutions to join our efforts in helping unfortunate African children to get their education. Many of these children come from poor background.
