We have helped schools, school kids, churches and individuals since we started our operations. It is a little over three years since the foundation was established. We started with helping schools and school kids with educational supplies, building materials and clothing.

Then through the continuous assistance of our few sponsors, we established our first and current primary school in 2005 - Help Liberia Foundation School System - a young and small school of about one hundred children.
Although we have suspended donation of materials and supplies to other schools for the time being, we continue to provide school supplies and clothing to the needy kids who go to our school. The kids who attend our school, along with their parents, greatly depend on the foundation for assistance, as the parents are either unemployed or poor. And the foundation is determined to give hope and a better future to these children.

Challenges and Plans
Although the school is established, owned and managed by the foundation, the building in which the school operates is not the foundation’s. We are leasing it for three years - the lease period started April 2006 and will expire in April 2009.
The staff of the school is doing its best in running the school and the children are coming, but there are numerous problems that have to be tackled, including the following:
a. the school building needs painting and fencing
b. the ceilings need repairs
c. the classrooms need more chairs and desks
d. a new toilet and a hand pump need to be constructed
e. books and other school supplies are needed
f. a reading room needs to be constructed
4. There are also plans for the purchase of a piece of land for the construction of real school building, as we cannot continue to operate in the current building; it was not built for the operation of a school.

In order to have a good environment where the kids will feel happy to learn, as well as sustain the school, we are appealing to all individuals and institutions of good will to assist the foundation in anyway possible - in terms of service, materials or funds.
We encourage you to help us not only because your help will make a big difference in the existence of the school, but also because it will help to give hope to these underprivileged children by giving them education.
