Students of Help Liberia Foundation Community School have begun using uniform. The uniform is introduced not only as a result of parents’ consistent call for their children to use uniform because of the lack of money to buy ordinary clothes for them every time, but also because of the school’s desire to uniform the kids.
The kids themselves had long wished for the day that they would have the opportunity to use uniforms. The excitement shown by the children on the day the uniform cloths were brought on the school’s campus epitomized their strong desire to use uniform.

Two tailors were hired to do the sewing of the uniforms, and they did the first-phase sewing right on the campus. Although the sewing of the uniforms has not been completed, some of the kids have already started wearing their uniforms to school.

Most of the kids don’t have uniforms because their parents cannot afford. The foundation gave some of the children uniforms free of charge. Those who have look great in their uniforms. The foundation is soliciting funds to be able to sew more sets of uniform and give them to the other kids whose parents cannot afford, a gesture which the parents and this children would really appreciate. A set of uniform costs about $15.00.

The introduction of the uniforms in the school is one of the greatest achievements of the school in its three-year existence. It’s also worth mentioning that Help Liberia Foundation is the only school that is using this type of uniform in the City of Buchanan. The administration of the school is contemplating applying for a special right for, as well as registering, the uniform with the government, through the Ministry of Education, so that all other schools can be prohibited from using it.
