Help Liberia Foundation Suspends Full Sponsorship

Posted by Help Liberia Foundation on May 18, 2008

From the beginning, and up to a few months ago, our foundation had two types of sponsorships in the Child Sponsorship Program of its education programs, and sponsors were usually given the opportunity to choose one of the options – Partial Sponsorship or Full Sponsorship.

However, as situations change, there is a need for us to change, amend or improve our activities. In view of this – and in this public medium – we wish to inform everyone that we are suspending the Full Sponsorship part of the Child Sponsorship Program until at such a time when it is necessary to include it. In other words, all those wishing to sponsor a child through the foundation will choose the partial sponsorship, which is $7 per month per child.

Our decision sprang from the fact that the World Food Program is supplying our school with monthly food ration – wheat, beans and oil – a supply, which is helping the school to feed the kids daily. We also believe that the suspension of the Full Sponsorship will enable our sponsors – current and potential – to focus their resources on Partial Sponsorship, which helps many children to go to school.

We encourage everyone who can to help give a child a bright future by helping to educate him today – only $7 per month.
