The foundation and some of its sponsors brought smiles to scores of Liberian school kids, including those of Help Liberia Foundation community School, and their parents, as well as HLF school staff, during the Christmas holiday.
A few days before Christmas, the foundation bought a few 50-kg bags of rice, opened them and distributed it among the students and the workers of the school as their Christmas gift. The gift couldn’t have come a better time, especially when the commodity is getting more expensive on the Liberian market.
“I say big thank-you to HLF for the food they gave me and my parents. We’re happy!” said Andrew Borlor, a student of the school.
“We don’t have the words to thank you people for what your foundation is doing for us and our children. May God continue to bless your foundation.” Remarked a parent.
Every December, since 2005, the foundation gives Christmas gifts to the kids, their parents and the staff of the school. The gifts are sometimes clothes, rice or other items.
But besides the gifts, which the foundation gives, a lot of sponsors also sent Christmas money for the children they sponsor. The money was used to buy some Christmas presents, which included food, clothes, shoes and so forth for the children. Those receiving food received a 25-kg bag of rice each. They and their parent appreciated it very much and expressed thanked to the foundation and the sponsors.
We want to thank the sponsors and all those helping the foundation, one way or another, for bringing smiles on the faces of the kids, their parents and the staff our school.
