Some students of a Polish university, the Nowy Sacz School of Business, located in the south of Poland, have donated some funds towards the construction of the school building the foundation is planning to construct for the children in Liberia.
The collegians, who happen to be one of the intermediate-level English classes taught by Mr. Harry (the Executive Director of HLF) at the university, donated more than 150 PLN (one-hundred fifty Polish Zloty) to the foundation.
Speaking on behalf of the rest of the students, Ms. Karina Kowalik remarked, “We know what your foundation is doing to educate poor children in Liberia. So, our class has decided to donate this amount to your foundation for the school construction project.”
Mr. Harry thanked the students on behalf of the foundation and indicated that the money would be used for its intended purpose, as the foundation is in a great need of financial assistance for the construction project.
The foundation’s plan is to construct a school building that’ll contain thirteen classrooms, two vocational-training rooms, one reading room, two offices, a teachers’ room, a storeroom and two toilets. The cost of the project is estimated at US$35,000.
