Compulsory Education not Working in Liberia

The head of a Liberian organization has pinpointed some pitfalls in the execution of the compulsory primary education policy in Liberia.

Mr. J. Jay Larblah, National Coordinator of LETCOM, made the points while speaking at a workshop recently. The government, he argued, is not doing much to implement the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals). He also admonished the government to increase the budgetary allotment for education in the proposed National Budget from 9% to 25%.
