Many of those sponsoring children in Liberia bought Christmas gifts for the children they sponsor.
The gifts, bought from Christmas-gift money given by sponsors in Poland, England and the United States, were purchased during the Christmas season, specifically a week before Christmas Day.
The presents purchased included clothes, food, foot wear, hair knots, toothpaste, cosmetics and other items. The children and their parents greatly appreciate the gestures and thank their sponsors who made it possible for them to get presents during Christmas.
The children were exceptionally happy for the clothes. In Liberia, wearing new clothes on Christmas Day, especially by children, is so culturally important that such clothes are called “Christmas clothes.” A child would prefer Christmas clothes to Christmas dinner.
On behalf of the kids of the school, their parents and the administration of the school, we wish to express gratitude to all the sponsors who gave Christmas-gift money for the children whom they sponsor in Liberia.
