Christian Jokes - Part Two

Posted by Paul Yeenie Harry on May 02, 2005

It’s a hot Saturday afternoon, and Adam returns home to have dinner and a short rest after one of his usual hard-day’s work as a part of his punishment for disobeying God in the Beautiful Garden.

Sweating profusely, Adam tells his first son, Cain, to get him a bucket of water in order to wash his body. Without hesitation, Cain agrees and takes the route to the little creek where they always fetch water, a distance of about five minutes.

Cain covers about a few meters and sees an animal that looks like the serpent his mother had described to him sometime ago. Determined to have a clearer view of this most-talked-about animal, and fascinated by the story he had earlier heard from his mother about the animal that caused his parents’ eviction from the Beautiful Garden, he moves closer to the beast. But the closer he goes, the farther the beast appears to be. He has no idea that he has already spent more than two hours in the forest, following the animal. In the process, he misplaces the wooden bucket.

Back home, Adam is as furious as a ferocious lion planning to teach a hard lesson to a stubborn and trespassing hunter. He thinks Cain is being very disrespectful. Finally, Cain appears with no bucket and no water.

“Where are you coming from, you stubborn child?” Adam screams.

“I saw an animal that deceived me,” Cain responds frighteningly.

“Ah, thank God there was no woman to put the blame on,” Eve cleverly remarks, to the annoyance of Adam.

“Look,” Adam angrily tells his son, “from today, you are out of this place. You will live here no more.”

“No, honey,” remarks Eve , “you can’t do that to your own son. It’s wrong to drive your own child out of the house.”

“Who told you that?” Adam asks. “Was it not what God did to us?”

“Yes, but God was really angry that day,” Eve remarks emotionally.

Adam looks at Eve and says, “But who told you that I am also not really angry today?”
